A delightful, clean read. Loved the setting for the book. Liked the characters. Highly recommend. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is a very enjoyable read about a small town restaurant getting some stiff competition. Starlight is a small town in Texas with one main restaurant called, The Pit. It's famous for its award winning barbecue. When the owner of a chain restaurant wants to open a new restaurant in this small town, he finds more than food competition in his path. Will Tamarind Brown be his downfall both in love and in the restaurant business? Read to find the answer in this charming novella.
I loved the book! This is the third in the series set in Starlight. I would buy more from this author.
As a former resident of the Ft Hood area I have thoroughly enjoyed all three Starlight books and am, honestly, sad I have reached the end. Mrs Sowell's writing style continues to draw me in and reminds me much of Jan Karon. I sincerely hope she picks up Starlight again as I am still lost in its world!
A great story line. I usually read a chapter or two every night, then turn out the light and go to sleep. Tonight I wanted to know how things would turn out between Rick and Tamarind. I found out tonight as I couldn't lay my iPad down until I read the very last page.
This is the third book by this author and the best yet. It is inspiring and will touch and encourage you. The story about the closeness of a small town community, romance and faith. I could not put it down.
